What Is Hospice Care?
Hospice care is physical, emotional and spiritual care for patients with terminal diseases in order to make their lives more comfortable when curative treatment proves futile. Hospice care provides skilled clinicians which include nurses, social workers, spiritual counsellors and certified home health aides to provide care and support to patients and their loved ones in their own home. Home is wherever the patient lives, whether a nursing facility, assisted living facility private home or apartment. Hospice staff help patients cope with the final stages of life.
What is Palliative Care?
Palliative Care is specialized medical care for people with serious illness. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.
Palliative care is provided by a specially-trained team of doctors, nurses, and other specialists who work together with a patient’s other doctors to provide an extra layer of support. It is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatment.
Going Above and Beyond
We truly care for each one of our patients and treat them like they are our own family members. Our mission is to help as many people as possible receive the support they need without worry. If you or someone you know is suffering from a life-limiting disease, we are here for you.
A Company Founded On Giving
As an organization, we are able to help others because of the generosity of people like you. Show your support by volunteering your time or giving a donation of any size. Every gift helps us to continue providing services to patients who are uninsured and could not otherwise afford care.
